The Australian Minigolf Championships are sanctioned by the World Minigolf Sport Federation for the first time and endorsed by Golf Australia.

April, 2018
The committee became an incorporated association.

September, 2017
An Australian team competed on the international circuit for the first time at the 2017 World Minigolf Championships in Croatia..

March, 2017
In March 2017 the World Minigolf Federation Oceania Representative Lucy Giesen advertised online for some keen (and competitive) Aussie Minigolfer’s to join the New Zealand crew at the World Mini Golf Championships in Croatia. And so the very FIRST Australian team consisting of 6 Men and 2 Women were recruited to compete at the World Champs in September.

The team included a Perth couple, a Sydney Mother & Son (and owner of Putt Planet), a successful business man keen to wear a “baggy green cap” and two Melbourne Minigolf enthusiasts who were able to convince a third to join the crew. As a team, they had never met before arriving at the Zaton Hotel Resort in Croatia, but came in hot kitted in the Aussie gear and excited to hit the greens (and got quite a shock as the courses were not all green and the balls were completely different) but ready to take on the Worlds Best. Along side the kiwi crew, a truly remarkable experience was held and life long friendships were made…..

May, 2016
A committee was formed to develop and promote the sport of minigolf in Australia.
